Success at the Golf Classic
Thursday, September 24, 2009

A week ago today we had a great turn out at the golf classic. It was
a perfect day – slightly overcast to start – with bright sunshine for
the barbecue and auction. To all of you that came, thanks for coming
out. Thanks to Jesse Thompson’s brilliant auctioneer skills and all
of your support, we were able to raise 16,245 dollars. I am psyched
with how it went. Everyone had a killer time and it was a fun
environment. The numbers are a little smaller than previous years,
but we lowered the entry fee and sponsorship prices because this year
I am not traveling with a full time coach. Also my expenses were
covered to New Zealand with Apex Racing.

Right now I’m in Dallas Airport with a group of 50 students and
coaches from Stratton Mountain School getting ready to fly to
Santiago, Chile for just over two weeks of training. It’s a great
opportunity for me to work in with them as a coach/athlete for an
extra ten days on-snow. I spent the last three days trying to dial in
my skis and boots and I’m pretty happy with where I stand. I need to
make a few adjustments, but most of the work is done.

Anyway, I hope you’re all doing well and thanks to all of those that
made it out to the golf classic. w
